HISTORY
Klarn was first seen on the planet Groy in Sector 455 chained by Atrocitus and amid the remains of possibly another of her species. She wore the red power ring once wielded by the late Red Lantern Ratchet. She had received her power ring at a time when the Red Lantern Corps had split into two factions.[1] According to Atrocitus, "...terrible things happened to her. Just awful. but then the ring found her, and she was able to take the revenge that is the right of any Red Lantern..."
Despite the chains, Klarn was loyal to Atrocitus as proven in a fight with Red Lanterns Bleez and Rankorr.[2]
Atrocitus grew his small group of Red Lanterns and returned to Ysmault, now home to the Red Lantern faction led by Prime Earth. They poisoned the Blood Lake and tore down statues of their enemies before leaving.[3]
Establishing a new base on Styge Prime, Atrocitus created a new Blood Lake from which he generated hundreds of new power rings. Klarn was then instrumental in his plan to unleash these rings upon Earth, Guy Gardner's homeworld, intending to create a subservient army of Red Lanterns.[4]
The plan was thwarted as the Red Lantern known as the Judge took her own life in a massive discharge of energy, stunning all in the vicinity. Atrocitus was defeated and Klarn was used to contain the Earth Lanterns until Gardner could remove their rings on Ysmault. Klarn has not been seen since.[5]
POWERS AND WEAPONS
As a Red Lantern, Klarn wields a red power ring giving her the capability of flight, survival in space and most dangerously, the ability to spew a napalm-like red plasma from her mouth, which incinerates all it touches.
Klarn has the added ability to both absorb and expel many types of energy.[6]
