HISTORY

Atros lived on the planet Ryut in Sector 666 with his wife Ferta, his daughter Trakka, and his son Limmy. Ryut was under the watch of the Guardians' Manhunters , and when they malfunctioned, Sector 666 was massacred, including Atros' family. Atros would begin a period of massacring Manhunter Androids and was eventually discovered by the Four Demons. He joined their ranks to get revenge of the Guardians, becoming the Five Inversions. Atros was at war with the Guardians for centuries, even gaining power in what he called the Empire of Tears; Worlds webbed together by the Inversions.

Atros would approach Inversion member Roixaeume for knowledge of the Blood Prophecy, a way of Blood Magick that could allow the user to see into the future. By confessing his "love" to her, Roixaeume gave the Ryutian the knowledge, which he then used on a Guardian that he had captured. Using the Guardian's blood, Atros saw that in the future, he would slay the Inversions.

Eons of conflict later, and the Five Inversions were imprisoned on the planet Ysmault. There, Atros broke out and killed the Five Inversions, using their blood to create a Red Power Battery and Red Lantern Ring, and he changed his name to Atrocitus. Using their blood, Atros also made a second Blood Prophecy: One that told him he needed to create a Red Lantern Corps.
