Synopsis:

The members of the Justice Society have come to St. Roch to celebrate Hawkman's birthday, but he is nowhere to be seen, still on his destructive rampage against the local criminals. Doctor Fate is having trouble with Nabu, while Doctor Mid-Nite tries to rescue a hooker from her life on the streets and Power Girl has a strange encounter with the fortune teller Miss Morrison. Hourman, meanwhile, is struggling with his propensity to become addicted to things, and Jay Garrick is not impressed with how close Captain Marvel and Stargirl have become. When Hawkman finally meets his colleagues, it is with the news of Black Adam's actions in Kahndaq. He demands that he take over leadership of JSA, effective immediately, for the duration of this crisis.
