Synopsis:
Hawkman battles the animated corpses of his previous lives (or at least something that looks a lot like them) and in the process comes to believe that what the Headhunter says about his savagery, covered only by a mask of civilization and refinement, is true. Hawkgirl learns that the Headhunter has plagued the city for decades, occasionally arriving and taking a few heads, gaining their knowledge, before leaving again. Once again, Hawkman battles the Headhunter, and seems to defeat him, but has himself become more savage, dealing out justice in a more brutal way than ever.
