Synopsis: - Lana Lang gets a letter from an inhabitant of Hell's Heart, a run-down neighborhood of Washington D.C. and decides to help, feeling that her role as the vice president's wife both enables and obliges her to intervene. In Metropolis, Superman and Power Girl defeat Mister 104 and have a talk about the past, before Clark Kent is called to Washington by Pete Ross. Lana has gone missing, and he wants Clark to look for her in Hell's Heart. Batman tells Superman that he should allow the Dark Knight to handle it, but he is determined and begins to make preparations to go in as Clark Kent.
