Synopsis: - Superboy wakes up to find himself imprisoned at the mercy of Amanda Spence, outfitted with a new body. Guardian, now an adolescent, is also a prisoner, of General Good who plans to use him to create a whole army of disposable soldiers. Superboy's imprisonment is soon brought to an end when he dupes an unsuspecting guard, but Spence's new body has some amazing capabilities. In the midst of battling Spence, Superboy discovers that he is aboard some sort of space vessel, accidentally blowing an airlock and sending both himself and Spence into space. A timely use of his tactile telekinesis serves to bring the escaping air to a halt and get them aboard the vessel, where he encounters Cherub. Amanda Spence slashes Cherub's throat, revealing that Cherub was based on the genetic template of Tana Moon.
- In response, having ascertained that Spence needs neither food nor air, he sends her off into space, to live forever with nothing but her own mind to keep her company. At this moment, the other two D.N.Angels arrive, deciding that clones have been used and abused too much, and should stick together, hence no more fighting Superboy. The boy of steel then seeks out General Good and the Guardian, who have received news of the strike on Kansas. Much debate about the need for the Guardian's genetic signature ensues - in the end, Superboy gives the choice to Guardian, who wants to be his own person. In one destructive burst of tactile telekinesis, Superboy destroys the entire 'clone factory.' General Good is enraged, but at that moment, Frank Rock arrives with a company of Blackhawks, to take Good into custody for the abuse of military resources and personnel. And to recruit the rest for the coming war.
