Comment(s):
- Superboy willingly exposes himself to various pieces of green kryptonite believing it will inoculate himself from those particular pieces in the future. The kryptonite is then hidden in a container built by Superboy and hidden at the bottom of the sea. This kryptonite stash may have been recovered in a later story.
- Specifically, he is planning to use that same kryptonite some 15 years in the future, when, according to police records from Krypton, the time lock on a satellite revolving around Krypton will release ten convicts. While the convicts would menace Earth, Superboy could use the kryptonite against them, without risk of himself being affected by the kryptonite radiation. Though two of the convicts were named, they never appeared in any later stories. Their particular form of punishment may have been tweaked a bit, into the Kryptonian method of justice prior to the Phantom Zone, when criminals were sent into orbit while in suspended animation, undergoing reconditioning.
