HISTORY
Apparently an abandoned store on Manhattan, young rock singer Jim Rook and his girlfriend Janet entered it once in '69. It proved to be a portal to another world, the "fantasy dimension" named Myrra. After adventuring as the heroic Nightmaster, Jim and Janet returned to the real world through the store. Many years later, Jim had turned Oblivion, Inc. into an occult book store, frequently visited by William Twotrees, a.k.a. Will Power of the Leymen. With the Leymen, Rook once more took on the identity of Nightmaster to battle the evil August.
During a meeting between Nightmaster and Swamp Thing, it was said that Myrra was actually a hallucination coming alive, and Oblivion, Inc. only a manifestation of Rook’s desire to retreat into his childhood fantasies. However, those statements should probably be regarded as apocryphal.
