HISTORY

The sorcerer Nyarl-Amen was the leader of a race of fish-men who allegedly ruled the world 50,000 years ago ('the Nyarl-Amen dynasty') from an undersea kingdom. In 1941, the millennia-old sorcerer arranged an attack on an American naval base in Hawaii. The supernatural hero known as Doctor Fate (I) recognised the villains as the legendary fish-men of Nyarl-Amen, and rushed into action to prevent them from overrunning the world once more. Nyarl-Amen himself rose to battle and proved a worthy opponent of Fate, but was eventually defeated by the hero and died falling on his supernatural weapon of choice – the powerful Sword of Kheulu-ar.

More recently, Nyarl-Amen's Sword was rediscovered by Witchfire of the Power Company and given to the extradimensional demons known as the Trinus Lords. It is not known how this may turn out.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Nyarl-Amen had 'old wisdom' and wielded great magic and hypnotic powers.
