OVERVIEW
One of the minor Egyptian gods who bestows his power upon Black Adam. Mehen provides courage. Mehen was a benevolent snake god who protected Ra on his nightly journey through the land of the dead.
HISTORY
Very little is known about the Egyptian snake god Mehen ("coiled one"). He belongs to the entourage of the sun god Ra, as Ra descends into the underworld for his journey towards the dawn. Ra is also accompanied by cats, who protect Ra from the evil snake god Apophis.
Mehen's function is lost to the mists of time, but he seems to be connected to the symbol of the circle, the solar disc. He has also given name to an old Egyptian game, Mehen. At some point in time, the demoness Blaze brokered a deal with the Egyptian god Set, agreeing to secretly bestowing a portion of the powers of the Egyptian Gods onto Shazam's chosen champion Teth-Adam (to the modern world known as Black Adam). Mehen bestows the power of courage (presumably a strong psyche and a fighting spirit).
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Unknown, but he bestows the power of courage onto Black Adam.
