Synopsis: - The Flash is having trouble with Captain Cold and the Trickster, and as always is late both for work and for his dates with Iris West, love of his life. In the middle of dinner, he is called away to the scene of a car crash, where the evidence points most definitely towards murder, but he is dissuaded from continuing the investigation by the new chief of detectives, Joe Hinchman.
- Nevertheless, Allen pursues what clues he has, only to discover his best lead so far hideously burned. What's more, he is fired by Hinchman for disobeying orders.
