Synopsis: - In 1951, the Atom refuses to help the Argent agents bring in Hawkman and Hawkgirl, and is aided in standing up to them by Atom Smasher, who tells him about Per Degaton's plans. Elsewhere, Stargirl talks to Starman about his legacy and Hourman rescues his father from Per Degaton. Mister Terrific fights off the Ku Klux Klan with his predecessor and the various heroes of two generations converge on the JSA brownstone. Tensions are still high, not least due to the presence of Atom Smasher, but they have an important mission and purpose. The arrival of the two Hourmen tells them exactly what they need to know - Per Degaton plans to assassinate the president.
