- The new JLA learns from Manitou Raven what happened to the old JLA as Raven re-animates the old guard's bodies and returns their spirits to them to battle Gamemnae along with the new Leaguers, Zatanna and Tempest. Members of the new League are transported back to the past along with Zatanna, where they free Aquaman from his imprisonment and return him and his enslaved people to the present. Gamemnae, having betrayed her colleagues, must bide her time and wait thousands of years until coming into power once more. The League, aided by Faith, Manitou Raven and Etrigan battle Gemamnae in the here and now, defeating her while the most powerful members save the Earth and return its supplies of water. The Leagues are re-united, as are Aquaman and Tempest. Raven and his wife have also made their way to the present. All is joy, for a time, until Aquaman learns that he must face a reckoning for causing Atlantis to sink beneath the waves once more.
