HISTORY

Henry Lee Jordan's family came from Tennessee, later moving to Kansas. He grew up to become a deputy in Smallville working for Sheriff Nate Kent, who he considered the best man he'd ever knew.
The worst was Bloody Joe Tuscano, leader of a Colorado raiding gang. Jordan led a posse of thirty men but were trapped by the outlaws and gunned down. Jordan's leg was broken in the massacre and the gang unwittingly left him alive.
When Wyatt Earp left Tombstone in late April 1882, Nate Kent recommended Jordan for the position of US Deputy Marshal for the Arizona Territories. Six months after leaving Smallville on the night before he arrived in Coffin Springs, Jordan witnessed a green falling star. His curiosity led him to the crash site where he saved Green Lantern Abin Sur from being killed.
The pair made it to Coffin Springs the next day, with Henry Lee putting the corrupt sheriff on notice that he was hunting Bloody Joe. Since they'd last met, Bloody Joe and his gang had joined with a powerful stranger called Mr. Tor. This was the alien tyrant Devlos Ungol, known as Traitor.[1]
The gang thought they had an easy victory, gunning down Abin Sur with gold tipped bullets, but with help the GReen Lantern survived. The gang sought to raze coffin Springs but were stopped by Jordan and the recuperating Abin Sur. The Lantern's final battle with Traitor saw the tyrant shrunk and placed inside Abin Sur's power ring.
Abin Sur returned to the stars, while Henry Lee Jordan served the Arizona Territories. His later adventures and exact relationship to Green Lantern Hal Jordan have yet to be revealed.[2]
