HISTORY

Nathaniel and Jebediah were the two quarreling sons of Silas Kent in the US Midwest during the late 1800s. Nate was a good man who rode together with Wild Bill Hickock and Scalphunter, and later served in the Civil War on behalf of the Union. The more troubled Jeb served with the Confederacy and became an outlaw. In 1874, Nate had become the sheriff of Smallville, as which he had a final showdown with his brother, who was killed in a shoot-out. Most of Nate's later life is unchronicled, but he once encountered the lost time-traveller called Chronos (II). His life history was eventually pieced together by by his descendant, Jonathan Kent, the adoptive father of Clark (Superman) Kent.
