Synopsis:

The detectives of the Major Crimes Unit close the net on Jim Corrigan, but they soon find that they cannot bring him in, as Clem Robins from ballistics is clearly on his payroll and tampers with the evidence, with the gun being the only thing that links Corrigan to Allen's death. They will continue the investigation, but with little hope of a resolution. Montoya takes a gun to Corrigan's apartment and threatens to kill him, but does not go through with it. The next day she quits the police department. She's got nothing left to give.
