- The Fastest Man Alive returns to his own monthly series from the writer/artist team of Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato! The Flash knows he can't be everywhere at once, but what happens when he faces an all-new villain who really can? As if that's not bad enough, this villain is a close friend!
Synopsis:
During a science expo in Central City a group of armored criminals attempt to steal a device. Flash is attending in his civilian guise, on a date with Patty Spivot, a co-worker at the Crime Scene Investigation Unit. Barry secretly dons his Flash costume and stops the criminals. They attempt to escape with the device using a helicopter on the roof, but Flash grabs the device and one criminal and they fall to the ground. Flash uses his power to create a whirlwind pushing the criminal to safety through a glass window. Iris West, a blogger, arrives at the scene and interacts with Flash and Barry separately.
The criminal "saved" by Flash has died, but not due to Flash's actions. The criminal is identified as Manuel (an old friend of Barry's), however Barry notices changes to the DNA of the deceased. Barry is then confronted at his apartment by Manuel, and the two of them run into multiple clones of Manuel, as well.
