HISTORY
An analogue to the Book of Oa held by the Guardians of the Universe, the Book of Parallax contains tales of fear and perhaps the history of the universe as well. It is not known if it contains any laws similar to the Book of Oa. The Book of Parallax was shackled to Lyssa Drak of Talok IV by Sinestro himself. A chain of yellow energy binds her left arm to the Book, which will be hers until death, but this is not something Drak objects to, in fact it is something that gives her great joy. The Book's origins are currently unknown, though Lyssa Drak claims she records the thousands of stories within its pages.
The Book of Parallax and Lyssa Drak were usually found within the Archive Tower on Qward. As the culmination of rookie training in the Sinestro Corps, Lyssa Drak used the Book of Parallax to drain the energy from the rookies' yellow power rings before they entered the Fear Lodges. At times she would tell stories from the Book to the rookies. Tales of the Sinestro Corps told thus far include Despotellis, Karu-Sil, Bedovian, Kryb and Sinestro. - Green Lantern Vol. 4 #18/2- #20/2
Lyssa Drak planned to add more stories to the Book of Parallax, but the Sinestro Corps was defeated by the Green Lanterns. She told one last story, that of Kryb, to Green Lanterns Amnee and Matoo Pree before she was brought to Oa where she was held in a sciencell. - Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Superman-Prime #1/2, Green Lantern Vol. 4 #26
During the riot caused by Red Lantern Vice and the subsequent prisoner escape, Lyssa Drak sought out the Book of Parallax during the confsuion. She found the Book of the Black instead. She did not have time to examine it before the rogue Guardian known as Scar forced her within the Book of the Black's very pages.
The current status of the Book of Parallax is unknown.
