HISTORY
- André Chavard was the French member of the World War II Boy Commandos, a team of multinational orphaned boys who operated behind the enemy lines under the leadership of Captain Rip Carter. Although young, the boys were an important task force battling the Nazis. After the war's end, André joined most of his teammates in the United States, where they began a crimefighting career. André left the group in 1949 to help his brother on their farm in France. His replacement in the Boy Commandos was Percy Clearweather, who had substituted for André on an adventure in 1947. André Chavard eventually worked his way up in the military, and became the commander of the spy agency Department Gamma, as seen in recent years.
