HISTORY

The insane professor Zachary Nail posed as a swamp monster and abducted people for his own reasons, but was exposed by the ghost breaker Dr. Thirteen. Later, he allied himself with alien Conqueror Worms to save humanity from itself (although the Conqueror Worms later revealed that they preferred human beings as foodstuff). Nail and the Worms were opposed by the Swamp Thing, and when Nail got to know the truth, he blew himself up with dynamite.
