OVERVIEW
The beautiful, powerful patron goddess of the Tamaraneans.
HISTORY
Described as a legendary warrior, X'Hal was said to have led the forces of Vega against the Psions. Though technologically superior, the Psions were routed and Vega was free. Regarded as a savior, X'Hal was declared Vega's first High Empress. As a ruler, X'Hal saw Vega through an era of peace, but the system's defenses were neglected and the Psions returned.
The first attack saw the destruction of the moon around what was to become the Citadel Homeworld and the death of X'Hal herself. The Psions were not content with her death, and began to experiment on her body by subjecting it to various radiations before converting her to pure energy. Their laboratory world was destroyed in the resulting explosion. The newly empowered X'Hal destroyed the Psion fleet in an instant then turned on the Vega System itself. She destroyed three worlds before she was finally captured, at the expense of more than two hundred of Vega's greatest warriors.
X'Hal was taken to Okaara, then a dead world, to be contained by the surviving warriors who would become known as the Warlords of Okaara. -New Teen Titans Annual #1
The truth, as told by one of her sons, the First Citadellian, was X'Hal had not been a warrior at all, but rather a part of a peace-loving civilization on the paradise world of Okaara. When the Psions came to study Vega, the Okaarans welcomed them as friends. X'Hal showed the Psions all the wonders of her world, never thinking ill of the aliens' cold, calculating nature. Their studies complete, the Psions left abruptly.
After exploring Emana Branx, the Psions discoverd the Branx Warriors, hideously violent beings dedicated to a life of virtually non-stop battle. Recognizing an opportunity to study the contrast between the peaceful Okaarans and the brutal Branx Warriors, the Psions seized a Branx and returned to take the trusting X'Hal.
POWERS AND WEAPONS
