HISTORY

An alien soldier, the being dubbed "War-Horn" by Superman was sent to Earth by his superiors to gather nitrogen for his world's armies. The uniform he wore was designed to absorb nitrogen from the air, sea or ground. Though he did not want Earth to suffer, he was unquestionably dedicated to completing his mission and came into conflict with the Man of Steel. They were locked in stalemate, with death the only way the soldier would be defeated, something Superman would not resort to. When the soldier was struck unconscious, Superman gambled the war-horn device would not be able to read his mind, and think the Man of Steel would kill the soldier. Rather than risk its host, the War-Horn was teleported to safety.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

The alien possessed the ability to read others' thoughts. He claimed he carried no weapons, but the war-horn attached to his back could analyze its surrounding which would enable it to instantly and automatically create a defense and counterattack. This would include the ability to survive in any environment, as well as use the environment against a foe.
