HISTORY

Little is known about the Veteran and many assume that he is a myth, a soldier's tale of a great man who springs to life on the battlefield and dies when the last shot is fired. However, he is real and although he is not constantly being reborn, he has aided the United States of America in many armed conflicts since the nation was first conceived. He is completely invulnerable to attack and is a wise and charismatic leader. He currently commands a crack squad of troops that deal in the more unusual missions the military is likely to encounter, and he is trying to recruit Tim Drake, Robin to join him. The Veteran is acquainted with Batman, and a certain amount of tension exists between them due to an incident some years back when the Veteran attempted to recruit Dick Grayson.
