HISTORY

Garridan Ranzz is one of the twin sons of Garth Ranzz and Imra Ardeen of the Legion of Super-Heroes. When he was an infant, he was kidnapped by the villain known as Darkseid and transformed into a powerful alien-looking giant, Validus. He was then sent back several years in time. Validus became a notorious menace in that time and was recruited into the group of villain which became known as the Fatal Five. The Fatal Five frequently battled the Legion of Super-Heroes and, eventually, Garridan's parents discovered that Validus was their own son. Garridan was subsequently returned to normal and is now living with his parents and brother as an ordinary child.
