HISTORY
The robotic ULTIIVAC was the invention of German (and former Nazi) scientist Felix Hesse. The fantastic creation was superstrong, had telepathic powers, and above all, it was sentient - thinking and feeling and afraid.
Seeking independence of his creator, Ultivac fled from Doctor Hesse. With its enormous size and strength, ULTIVAC caused avoidable damage, and eventually had to be taken down by the Challengers of the Unknown. Although declaring a truce - if humanity let him live his "life", ULTIVAC would let them benefit from his extraordinary computer brain - ULTIVAC was ultimately destroyed by the enraged doctor Hesse. His circuits were later incorporated in a stationary computer, serving humanity after his "death".
Years later, ULTIVAC was restored and forced to join the team known as the Forgotten Villains, where he was controlled by team members such as Atom-Master and Mister Poseidon. Ultivac has not been seen since the Forgotten Villains were defeated by the Forgotten Heroes and Superman.- DC Comics Presents #77- #78
