OVERVIEW
The U.L.T.R.A Humanite is virtually immortal in the sense that he can transfer his mind to other bodies. He has put this ability to use as a super criminal.
Not to be confused with the Ultra-Humanite, foe of the Justice Society of America for many years.
HISTORY
The U.L.T.R.A Humanite was Professor Morgan Wilde, a scientist who studied the ectoplasmic mass of the human body. Lex Luthor wanted to make use of Wilde's research and sent out henchmen who killed the professor's wife. Furious, Wilde set off an an explosion that destroyed his lab, thereby getting revenge on his wife's killers. But Wilde himself did not die. His ectoplasmic body (maybe one could call it his soul) survived and found itself able to possess the bodies of other people. Using this ability, Wilde – now dubbed the U.L.T.R.A. Humanite – attempted to take revenge on Lex Luthor, before being stopped by Superman. The non-corporeal Wilde jumped bodies to flee the scene and has not been seen for at least ten years.
