HISTORY
Founded in the 17th century, when Opal City was still known as the Port O´Souls, the Tuesday Club eventually became one of Opal's great powers, a secret Social Club consisting of many of the town's wealthiest men. The members believed that their fortune was the bounty of their reverence for the "Dark Lords of the Netherworld", and frequently practiced the occult arts.
In 1899, Opal Sheriff Brian Savage a.k.a. Scalphunter) opposed the Club when they used blackmail, and later murder, to get rid of smaller store owners in their business quarters. In return, members of the Club killed four of Savage's deputies. The very same night, Savage and his surviving deputy, Carny O'Dare, killed every member of the Club - fifty-seven of the most powerful and corrupt men in town, including two councilmen and one judge. However, they missed the newly-inducted Jason Melville, who had looked forward to becoming a Club member in his entire life.
Enraged and disappointed that his dream was destroyed, Melville killed Savage by shooting him in the back. Carny O'Dare answered by killing Melville. The Tuesday Club was seemingly never heard from again.
