OVERVIEW

The Thirst is an evil entity that is made of dry river mud. He is the brother of an ancient goddess called the Waterbearer. The Thirst survives by absorbing life energy from whatever deity is watching over the Secret Sea. When Aquaman temporarily became guardian of the Secret Sea, he was attacked by the Thirst. After losing, the Thirst vowed revenge on Aquaman and returned a number of times to fight him. On his last attempt, the Thirst and Aquaman became fused into one being. Aquaman and the Thirst were both in a constant struggle for control, until Aquaman surrendered his control to the 'Light of the Universe'. This 'Holy Light' entered the monster and exorcised the Thirst from Aquaman. This contact with holy power destroyed the Thirst.
