Does the Red Winter (JL/E 45-50 and JSA v2)story take place during Doomsday?
If so, then JL Quarterly 9 and 10 should take place before Doomsday, since there isn't enough time for them to take place between Doomsday and Funeral for a Friend?
- The first story in JLQ #9 most definitely takes place before Doomsday (it even states that it takes place before JLA #69 in the story) as both Fire and Booster still have their powers.
- The third story in JLQ #9 lasts two days and since about a week passes in between the funeral (as seen in Man of Steel #20) and X-Mas eve (as seen in Superman #76) I'd say that it is possible it could take place in between those issues (along with Flash #71-72). All the leaves have fallen from the trees and people are wearing warm clothes. There's no snow but for London that doesn't need to be a problem for a December setting. However, had Superman just died Kara's rage might have been a lot more understandable and the bet would probably have seemed in poor taste, so placing it before Doomday might be a better fit.
- The second story in JLQ #10 is set on December 10th, so based on that and the fact that Superman's death must have happened around the middle of December I'd say it would go pretty much just before Doomsday.
- The fourth story has Blue Beetle going on a blind date and Booster, Flash and Fire spying on him. This story could take place practically anytime I guess.
- So in summation JLQ #9/1 and JLQ #10/2 most definitely go before Doomsday, and the placement of the other two could be argued either way, but I'd probably put them both before Doomsday as well. JLQ #9/3 would need to go in between JLE #44 and JLE #45 if moved before Doomsday though because of the presence of the JLE castle. Speaking of JLE #44 and 45, pages 1-8 of issue 43 would go before Green Lantern #29 and pages 9-22 + issue 44 would go after Flash #70.--Tenzel Kim (talk) 10:03, 21 December 2013 (PST)
