HISTORY

Wearing tribal animal masks to access the animal powers of the Morphogenetic Field, the disfigured African woman known as Tabu was a mercenary in the service of Hamed Ali, He Who Never Dies during his attempted overtaking of the republic of M'Changa. Ali was defeated by Animal Man and Vixen. Tabu died shortly afterward.

Vixen, feeling that her opponent was 'her soul sister' in a sense, then used Tabu's animal masks for some time, but has since returned to her own Tantu Totem.
