Synopsis: - News has got out that Batman and Superman have been apprehended and so those close to the two heroes storm the White House to free them. They encounter scores of secret service agents as well as Knightwatch personnel, with the Bat-squad encountering Lex Luthor, stronger than usual. Both teams run into difficulties and are rescued by Hawkman and Captain Marvel, or rather, Batman and Superman disguised as those two heroes having overpowered them when their captors were off guard.
- Captain Atom encounters Superman, Earth's only survivor, in the future and when Superman and Batman receive word from "the boy" in Japan, Luthor slips away, injects himself, and dons a battle suit.
