Comment(s):

The story is set in the "Alternate Reality" first seen in 2009's Star Trek movie. Chronologically, it occurs after Stardate 2262.67, placed after the 2013 movie Star Trek Into Darkness Stardate 2259.55.
The flashback in the "DC Universe" is said to be the second time that universe faced Nekron.
