A massive, hulking alien, the Star Sapphire of Sector 3 was assigned by the Zamaron queen to help Green Lantern Kyle Rayner open his heart. The Zamarons wished to have Rayner as a weapon against the Guardians of the Universe and their monstrous creations, the Third Army.
