A manifestation of the darker side of Firestorm (when he was an elemental being); Shadowstorm was Firestorm's anger, dakness and despair given form by the Orisha-Nla.

He also fought Captain Atom (and was responsible for creating a darker side of him...which may have become the second Monarch). Maybe related to the Shadowlands...
