HISTORY

In the distant past, powerful and evil entities known as Shadow Elements arose from the ashes of the Old Gods. According to the legends, the Shadow Elements ruled the cosmos until a great conflict destroyed the Godworld they inhabited. Other sources claim that it was the war of the Old Gods that destroyed the Godworld and shaped the two planets of New Genesis and Apokolips.

With the emergence of the New Gods, the Source fettered the few remaining Shadow Elements. The names of two individual Shadow Elements have been preserved for posterity: Deathnight and S'ivaa.
