Synopsis: - Power Girl and Crusader (now informed of just who was financing him) agree to accompany Thunderbolt and Checkmate to Austanberg, where they battle Andreas Havoc, Evila and Trydan, who Peter discovers is no more than a puppet of Havoc's mind. Back in London, Johnny Wheeler discovers that Harry Stone has decided to join De Frey, and finds that the assassin Mac the Knife has him as his next target. Havoc and Evila are defeated, but Checkmate are ordered to pull out of Austanberg before they can bring down Cypher. Thunderbolt and his allies make their way to Tibet, where they discover the monastery has already been broken into by Chinese troops, along with Dorje, the 'previous' incarnation of vajra, not as dead as he had been believed to be.
