HISTORY
The clones of the originals Newsboys plus Walter "Flip" Johnson, originally created as spare parts by Sleez. Grounded inside Project Cadmus most of the time, they sometimes managed to slip outside, generally causing mischief and getting themselves in trouble, forcing the Guardian (Jim Harper) to once again act as a surrogate father (and secretly enjoying it). When the project was headed by Paul Westfield, they often acted as ethic guardians (by voicing against the theft of Superman's body or by freeing Superboy for example). The Newsboys found in Jimmy Olsen a friend and an inspirational figure and often shared adventures and rides in the Whiz Wagon with the young photographer.
When their "fathers", the original directors, retired from Cadmus, the young Newsboys relocated to Suicide Slum. They spent most of their time in a garage, working on a new design of the Whiz Wagon. Recently, the all-male Newsboy Legion voted Roberta "Famous Bobbie", Jim Harper's grand-niece, as their newest member. Their first trip with the Wagon brought them all the way to Apokolips where they were witness to the prophesied and cosmos-shattering combat of Orion and Darkseid.
