HISTORY

Centuries ago, the world of Nok was invaded and its people were enslaved. Green Lantern Abin Sur helped the native people repel the invaders. The natives discovered when their enemies were cut by weapons they had forged with the heat of their world's indigo light, they were briefly changed as they felt remorse for their actions. Natromo befriended Abin Sur and taught the Lantern about the indigo light. Together they forged the first indigo power ring.

Iroque, an enemy of Abin Sur's was the first to wear the ring and became filled with compassion. In time, Abin Sur brought more criminals while Natromo forged new rings. Natromo was preparing for the day Abin Sur would lead the Indigo Tribe in an attack on the Guardians of the Universe.
