HISTORY

A war criminal, Maxwell Tremayne was a scientist and would-be world conqueror. In the past he had been in love with Mara, the mother of Sapphire Stagg but years later the delusional Tremayne believe Saphire was the now-deceased Mara. To this end he created the artificial life form Even Steven, a "chemical mimic" of Metamorpho to kidnap her on her wedding day. When he threatened Sapphire, Even Steven turned on his creator and both Steven and Tremayne wer destroyed.
