OVERVIEW
Approached by the mystical cult of Manhunters, self-styled champions of justice, Mark Shaw agreed to become one of their agents. When he was sent to aprpehend Green Lantern, the Justice League of America opened up his eyes to the true nature of his masters – power-hungry machines from outer space. Shaw reformed and took on the crimefighter identity of Privateer, until he had a relapse and became the criminal known as the Star Tsar. After serving time, Shaw once again vowed to reform and started fighting crime as Manhunter. It was recently revealed that his mind may have been tampered with by the U.S. military, and unwittingly made him a criminal and a killer.
