OVERVIEW
Richard Staton, former stage actor, dresses as a little old lady to fool criminals.
HISTORY
- In 1930, famous stage actor Richard Stanton, retires from the stage after his award winning portrayal of an elderly lady. Making millions in the stock market, he marries the former girlfriend of criminal John Carver. After Staton's daughter is born, she is kidnapped by Carver's gang and stolen away.
Using his make-up abilities and martial skills learned through years of stagecraft, he creates Madame Fatal, an elderly lady who fights crime, looking for any clues to the whereabouts of his daughter.
After more than eleven years, he finally tracks down Carver, but the gangster dies before he can reveal the whereabouts of his daughter.
Stanton had a large parrot named Hamlet, who he taught to quote Shakespeare.
Late in his career he was aided by want-to-be detectives Tubby White and Scrappy Nelson.
Staton later died, to be buried in the Valhalla Cemetery; the only attendees were Ted Grant and the road show actors of La Cage Au Faux.
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Stanton was trained in many forms of stagecraft including make-up, physical fighting and weapon use and acrobatics.
