HISTORY
In the year 1872, a group of thieves cheated Jeanne Walker's father out of a gold mine. Filled with righteous anger, Jeanne assumed the identity of Madame .44, dyed her hair red and stole from greedy businessmen, redistributing it Robin Hood-style to those in greater need. After many confrontations with the legendary gunfighter Johnny Thunder, Jeanne asked him to help her defeat the criminal Silk Black. Johnny Thunder turned Jeanne over to the police, but she received a pardon because of her good intentions. The pair later married and had two children, Charles and Becky.
