HISTORY
Lugal-Irra is the god of plague in Mesopotamian mythology. Lugal-Irra and his twin brother Meslamta-Ea may appear to be buffoons, but appearances can be deceiving. In ancient Sumeria, they were both regarded as aspects of their brother Nergal, god of death. The twins are consummate schemers and were recently instrumental in overthrowing Nergal’s rule.
