HISTORY

Born on the mystical island nation of Badhnesia, the dwindling population was moving away in small groups, infant Kiku and her mother made their way to the United States. Finding it hard to cope with the complex western society, Kiku's mother sank into alcoholism and ultimately died, leaving the young child to find her way on Gotham City's streets.

One night, she witnessed a shooting and a beating outside of the McNider Gotham Free Clinic and moving in to see what was going on, she spotted Johnny Thunder and his Thunderbolt. Instantly recognizing the Thunderbolt as a member of Badhnesian mythology and stories, she was able to help Johnny and his friends save his life.

Along with the newly returned Justice Society, Kiku returned to her homeland and discovered that all the native inhabitants had left years ago, sublimating their national identities to their new homelands. The Thunderbolt declared that she was the "last Badhnesian" and at a later time, when Johnny became unable to summon the Thunderbolt, his service fell to her.

For unknown reasons, Kiku lost control of the Thunderbolt, and has not been seen for several years. The Thunderbolt is now under the command of Jakeem Williams, who goes by the name of Jakeem Thunder.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Kiku had command of the Thunderbolt, a "genie" from the 5th Dimension, able to use her commands to grant her wishes.
