- This story marks the first full appearance of a new character called Bloodwynd. However, in #74 he is revealed to actually be the Martian Manhunter. It is later revealed that he has been under the influence of the villain Rott, who made him impersonate the real Bloodwynd. The real Bloodwynd first appears in #76.
