Synopsis:
The JSA battle the hawk and dove archetypal knights in a chaotic world where such things as seismic energy and cosmic power do not function as they should. Meanwhile, the heroes thought killed by Extant awake inside Fate's amulet, where they have retreated, safe from Extant, until they can work out how to defeat the madman.
Doctor Fate decides to ask Mordru for help, who tells him of a chink in Extant's mastery of time, also taking the opportunity to taunt him that he knows where his wife is. The heroes exploit that, and the 'big guns' get another chance at Extant, while the others set about releasing perhaps the only person with a chance to put a stop to the insanity - this world's version of Dove, Extant's opposite and other half.
