Synopsis:

Before Batman's encounter with Detective McGuigan and the Tenth Circle Alfred gave him a silver cross, which protects him and allows him to free McGuigan from vampiric control. Inside Manitou Raven's telling stones, Atom encounters the leader of the beings who dwell there - this leader treats him with great reverence. Nudge relates the story of her encounter with the Doom Patrol to Vortex, as the doubts the two of them have about Crucifer continue to grow. And Superman brings Wonder Woman to Crucifer, and although Nudge is able to shake Crucifer's hold on the Man of Steel for a moment, it is not long before Crucifer can impale Wonder Woman on his sword.
