OVERVIEW

Isis is the Egyptian goddess of the sky, fate, childbirth and magic. Today she is still worshiped by the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall, and she has also aided the Amazons in many ways together with a coalition of goddesses from different pantheons.

HISTORY

Isis ("the throne") is the Egyptian goddess of the sky, fate, childbirth and magic. Isis' symbols are cow's horns and a solar disc. She was by far the most popular of the goddesses; the worship of Isis stretched far into Asia Minor and she was also a very popular deity in ancient Greece and Rome. Today she is still worshiped by the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall.

Isis’ most famous feat is putting together and reviving her dismembered husband and brother Osiris. In modern times, she helped rebuild the Amazon island of Themyscira after its destruction in the Imperiex War. Together with a coalition of goddesses from the Greek, Babylonian and Egyptian pantheons, Isis watched over the Amazons and occassionally aids them.
