Solicitation:
- Green Lantern pleads with The Flash and the JLA to help him go back in time and avert his personal tragedy, which leads his peers to confront him about the ethics of heroism, and the line of violence that Kyle may have crossed. Now, only the wisdom of Hal Jordan as The Spectre can save his soul. This issue heralds big changes for the coming months and features the unexpected return of a long-absent hero.
Synopsis:
Terry Berg is still in a coma, and his situation has attracted considerable media attention. Kyle is devastated by the situation, and asks the Flash to take a trip back in time to rectify the situation for him - Flash refuses, and Batman agrees with him, pointing out that Kyle has been acting somewhat violently already. After leaving the JLA watchtower to destroy a few asteroids, Kyle is contacted by the Spectre, who is well aware of the dangers of playing god. He returns Kyle to the hospital, where he learns that Terry has woken up. He is delighted, but is somewhat soured by the experience, and goes off with Jade to explore other worlds and do some good there for a while, leaving John Stewart to fill in for him while he is away.
