Comment(s):

A Guardian advises Hal Jordan that the body of Abin Sur was teleported from Earth to Oa and "...enshrined in the crypt..." which is the first mention of the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps.
The events in the simulation "...very closely parallel [Hal's]" career. Though the simulation will diverge, it's not explained why the Guardians took so long to make their presence known to Guy Gardner.
Hal Jordan first met the Guardians in Green Lantern Vol. 2 #1 (July-August 1960): "The Planet of Doomed Men." Guy met the Guardians after a "resounding defeat" of Sinestro, but using the first appearances of Green Lantern's rogues gallery, Black Hand was the last introduced in Green Lantern Vol. 2 #29 (June 1964): "Half a Green Lantern Is Better Than None." The next battle with Sinestro was still a way off, in Green Lantern Vol. 2 #52 (April 1967): "Our Mastermind the Car" which also involved Alan Scott. The Silver and GOlden Age GLs met back in the landmark Green Lantern Vol. 2 #40 (October 1965): "Secret Origin of the Guardians" which heavily involved the Guardians... at least Hal's reality.
Guy's story would be revisited and revised over the years, but a long delay in the Guardians contact with Earth's GL could be an interesting story.
